CLASS PURPOSE
Participants will learn to recognize and respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. This program provides the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to deliver immediate care to an ill or injured person and to determine when advanced medical assistance is required. The course is designed to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Online Learning
- Complete 2.5 hours of online blended learning prior to attending the in-person skills session.
- Finish all online lessons and pass the online assessment with a minimum score of 80%.
In-Person
- Attend the 2.25-hour in-person, hands-on skills session.
- Participate fully in all in-person course activities.
- Successfully complete the “Putting It All Together” assessment scenarios.
- Verification: Provide proof of online completion (printed copy or digital confirmation on a smartphone).
ATTENDANCE
- Arrive early, you need to check in and provide proof of completing the online learning.
- If you don’t have the certificate of completion with you, you will need to reschedule for another class. A $25.00 rescheduling fee will apply.
- Students that are late will not be permitted into class.
CERTIFICATE ISSUES
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will receive a First Aid/CPR/AED certification valid for 2 years. Your American Red Cross CPR certification will be sent directly to the email address used during registration.
REFUND POLICY
Refund requests must be made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled class date. No refunds will be issued for requests made less than 7 days before the class.
RESCHEDULE POLICY
Rescheduling must be requested before the scheduled class date. A $25 rescheduling fee will apply for any changes made within 7 days of the scheduled class. Each participant is allowed one reschedule, and the new class date must be within 60 days of the original class date. NO-SHOW POLICY
Participants who do not attend their scheduled class (“no-shows”) will not receive a refund. No-shows may reschedule their class by paying a $25 rescheduling fee, and the new class must be scheduled within 60 days of the original class date.
CANCELLED CLASS POLICY
Swan CPR reserves the right to cancel any class at any time. If a class is cancelled, participants will receive a full refund or have the option to transfer to another class date at no additional cost.
VISITOR POLICY
Only registered participants are permitted in the classroom during training sessions. Children, including infants, are not allowed in the classroom.
REGISTRATION FOR MINORS
- If you are a parent or guardian purchasing a ticket for a teenager or minor, you must register using the student’s name and email address.
- Certificates are issued directly to the student and must reflect their correct information.
- If you are signing up for a minor, please notify us in advance and accompany them to the class to introduce them to the instructor at check-in.
