Basic Life Support Certification

The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to assess, recognize and care for patients who are experiencing respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction or opioid overdose. When a patient experiences a life-threatening emergency, healthcare providers need to act swiftly and promptly. The course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Prerequisites
Required Online Course Participants must complete all lessons of the online learning session and pass the online assessment with a score of at least 80%. Participants MUST complete the online prior to the in-person class. Please bring a hard copy or smartphone to show your completion. Participants must attend the in person session and participate in all course activities. Successfully complete the “Putting It All Together” Assessment Scenarios.
Certifications Issued
Basic Life Support Certification valid for 2 years. Your American Red Cross BLS Certification will be sent to your sign-up email account.
In-Class Policies:
Arrive 15 – 20 minutes before the start of the scheduled class. You will need to check in and provide proof of completing the online learning. If you don’t have the certificate of completion with you, we will need to reschedule you for another class. A $30.00 rescheduling fee will apply.
Students that are late will not be permitted into class. Our classes cover a large amount of material, and we need the full time allotted for all students. Please be respectful of the other students’ learning.
Refunds
Refunds up to 7 days prior to class are acceptable however there is a 3% credit card fee that will be deducted.
No refunds are given within 7 days of class. However, we will transfer you to a future class within 2 months of your original class date.
